Updating the Application

The application can be automatically updated by initiating its installation in the admin panel under "Site Settings / Updates".

During the installation process, each action performed is logged in the log file /files/logs/update.log.

Backups of files are created in the /!update/ directory while working with them.

The following sections are not affected by the update:

  • /config/
  • /custom/
  • /files/ - new files and directories may be created
  • /plugins/
  • /public_html/custom/
  • /public_html/files/ - new files and directories may be created
  • /public_html/plugins/
  • /public_html/themes/
  • /themes/
  • /vendor/

The user-facing part of the website becomes temporarily unavailable as the special "Maintenance Mode" is enabled. The message displayed to users can be modified in the "Site Settings / General Settings / Site Offline" section.

It is also recommended to avoid using the admin panel during the installation, and particularly to suspend the moderator's work.
